My name is Sami. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Teliches is how I mispell the Spanish word tiliches which means trinkets or junk :P

I got into doing arts and crafts in 2008 when I was 18 years old. I work with all kinds of mediums but my favorite by far is crocheting. I just pick up a hook and some yarn and make up my own designs as I go along.

It all started when I was working at a Barnes and Noble and was browsing through a clearance bin of books and came across the book The Cool Girl's Guide to Crochet. I had never crocheted before but thought it'd be fun and the book only cost a dollar so I bought it. I took it home and spent the weekend trying to learn and failing many times until finally I got the hang of it.

Since then I have become obsessed with crocheting and my love for crochet lead me to explore other types of crafts including knitting, sewing, working with clay, resin, metal, acrylic paints and more. I've always liked making things like doing origami, drawing, and playing with clay but learning to crochet is what really got me to invest more time and energy into what I make so I could actually make stuff worth showing off. If you don't know how to crochet you should learn! It might change your life! I started selling things on Etsy in 2012. Making things makes me happy :)
